Article ID: 316430 - Last Review: September 11, 2011 - Revision: 6.0 Performance of Microsoft Commerce Server-based Programs May Degrade Over Time
This article was previously published under Q316430 On This PageSYMPTOMS When you use programs that are based on Microsoft Commerce
Server 2000, you may experience performance degradation over time.
CAUSE This problem occurs because the Commerce Server 2000-based
program re-creates Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) connections
instead of re-using cached information. This results in multiple open
connections that use additional system resources, which, in turn, causes
performance degradation . RESOLUTIONService Pack InformationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:260910
