OL2002: Wireless Transport Messages Have a One Minute Polling Interval

By default, there is a one minute polling interval if you are working in the Offline mode in Outlook 2002. This means that it takes up to one minute to send wireless transport messages using a third-party transport provider.

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: After you apply the fix, add the following registry setting.

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
   HKEY_LOCAL_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Preferences
3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
   Value name: SendImmediatelyOffline
   Data type: DWORD
   Radix: BINARY
   Value data: 1
4. Quit Registry Editor.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP-2).
