When the SPARSE attribute is set on a file, the redirector does not allow for read caching of the file. The redirector would automatically set a file with the SPARSE attribute to No-Caching.
CAUSE
This problem may occur by not allowing the flags that are associated with a SPARSE file to hold FCB_STATE_READCACHEING_ENABLED.
