SYMPTOMS

When you click Summary in the Privacy Report dialog box to view a Web site's privacy policy in Internet Explorer, the word "here" in the following message that is displayed in the Privacy Policy dialog box is not a hyperlink:
To read this Web site's complete privacy policy, click here.
Because of this, you cannot click the word here to view the Web site's complete privacy policy.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Web site's Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) privacy policy is not correctly deployed or contains errors.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, use the appropriate method:
  • If you are a visitor to the Web site, contact the administrator of the Web site to obtain the correct Uniform Resource Locator (URL) for that Web site's privacy policy.
  • If you are administrator of the Web site, verify that the privacy policy is created and implemented correctly. You can validate the Web site's P3P policy by using the P3P Validator that is available at the following World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web site:
    http://www.w3.org/P3P/validator/
If necessary, contact the vendor of your P3P policy generator for more information about how to resolve the behavior that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
