SYMPTOMS

The Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration.SetDNSServerSearchOrder method may not work correctly. You use this method to configure the list of name servers in your TCP/IP configuration.

CAUSE

This method terminates the string for the NameServer registry value. The method updates the value incorrectly, causing it to be unusable by TCP/IP.
