SYMPTOMS

After you install Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2), users without administrator permissions may receive the following error message when they try to print:
You do not have permission to use the selected printer. If you need access, contact your network administrator.

CAUSE

A fix to Unidrvui.dll requires that a printer definition file (*.GPD) be recompiled to a .bud cache file one time. If a user does not have permission to write this file, the operation does not succeed.
