You may experience a problem when you install Internet Explorer by using the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) with the User Rights Deployment component. The installation may not work if both of the following conditions exist:
CAUSE
This problem may occur if MSI 2.0 is installed on the client computer before the IEAK User Rights Deployment installation started.
RESOLUTIONWindows NT 4.0A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.To resolve this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix.
