WD2000: An Extra Paragraph Mark Is Added When You Update Database Fields

When you update the database fields in a document, an extra blank line (paragraph mark) is inserted in the document for each corresponding database field location. If a database field is inline with the document text, the document text is moved down to the next line in the document.

This problem occurs because Microsoft Word does not properly remove the record terminator from the database entry.

Hotfix Information

The English version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel. After the hotfix is installed, the following file will have the listed attribute or later:
