WD2002: Portuguese Grammar Checker Quits with a Long Hyphen String

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Portuguese grammar checker tool, the tool quits or stops responding when it comes across a string of hyphens. Then, you receive the following Office Watson error message:
Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The Portuguese-language version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:
