WD2000: Invalid Page Fault in Winword.exe When You Try to Merge Mail Merge Document
In addition, the following issues have been corrected in this update, but they are not documented separately in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: WD2000: Word Stops Responding When You Change the Default Mail Type from RTF to HTML with Messages Open When you try to forward an e-mail message after you change the message type from RTF to HTML, you receive the following error message: Insufficient memory to complete the operation.
The request font cannot be displayed. When you hold the left mouse button for more than a few seconds, CPU usage increases to 100% in a Microsoft Windows Terminal Server environment. WD2000: Macros Run Regardless of the Security Settings Macros in a Word document may run if the document was changed at the binary level. WD2000: Word Stops Responding When You Save a Word Document with a Certificate After You Modify the Document Word may stop responding when you save a file. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
WD2000: Word May Stop Responding When the Selection of a Text Box Is Canceled When you have a text box selected, and then you click between the text box and a table, Word may stop responding. WD2000: Word May Stop Responding When You Open and Save Files When you randomly open files and save them, Word may stop responding. WD2000: Line Numbers Are Displayed and Printed Incorrectly in Hebrew Word Line numbers may move from left to right and superimpose themselves over the text in a printed document in Word. WD2000: Word May Stop Responding When You Select an Object Before It Is Fully Redrawn When you select an object that is not fully redrawn, Word may stop responding. WD2000: Word May Stop Responding with a Word Document in a Web Browser Control Word may stop responding under these conditions:
WD2000: Word May Stop Responding After You Set the CommandbarControl When you programmatically modify menus in Word and then switch between single-document interface (SDI) windows, Word may stop responding. WD2000: Some Data Formats Used in a Mail Merge May Cause an Invalid Page Fault After you turn on Chinese language support, if you use a mail merge data source that contains a seven-digit number followed by a Chinese character, Word may stop responding. WD2000: Danish Hyphenation in a Document Can Cause Pagination Problems Use of Danish hyphenation can result in either missing text or repeated text across a page break when the document is printed or displayed in print layout view. WD2000: Line Numbers May Be Superimposed over Text in Hebrew Word When you use line numbers in the Hebrew version of Word, the line numbers may be superimposed over text in the printed document. WD2000: Landscape Orientation Is Not Printed Correctly When Scale Is Changed When you print a landscape document that was scaled up in size (for example, landscape letter [8.5-by-11-inch page size] to landscape tabloid [11-by-17-inch paper size]), the document will be printed on the original paper size instead of the new paper size. WD2000: Bullets Change When You Paste Text from PowerPoint into Word When you copy text from PowerPoint 2000 that contains customized bullets (using either extended characters in the font, or a graphical bullet) the bullets are pasted in Word 2000 as boxes or question marks. WD2000: Instance of Winword.exe Is Still in Memory After You Quit Word When you insert a Word document or an RTF document into an existing Word document, and then you close the document by using the Close button (X) in the top right corner of the program window, an instance of Word (Winword.exe) remains in memory. NOTE: This problem only occurs when you run Word on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. WD 2000: Resting the Mouse on a Hyperlink to a Word Document May Cause Word to Stop Responding When you rest your mouse device on a hyperlink to another Word document, Word may stop responding, or you may receive an error message that the memory cannot be read. WD2000: RestartNumberingAtSection Does Not Retain Set Value Word object properties may not retain the values that are explicitly set in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macros. The problem occurs when range properties are read from certain objects, such as the Information object. WD2000: "Continuous Page Break" Changes to "Next Page" After You Run a Macro If you use a macro to set the orientation for a section to landscape, other section break types may unexpectedly change. Using manual steps to change the section orientation does not produce the same result. WD2000: Printed Text Is Truncated When a Table Spans a Page Break When you print a document that contains a table that breaks across pages, and you use a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 5SI or a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 8000, the printed file may contain characters that are cut off. WD2000: Document with Hidden Pages Is Displayed and Printed with Many Blank Pages A document with pages that are marked as hidden is displayed and printed with many more blank pages when you open the document in Word 2000. When you print from Word 97 or Word 2002, the same file is printed with fewer pages. (This is the behavior that you want when pages are marked as hidden and the Show hidden text option is turned off.) WD2000: Setting the OnAction Property of a Custom Menu May Cause an Insufficient Memory Error Message If you select a custom shortcut menu that has its OnAction property set to a Visual Basic for Applications macro, you may receive the following error message: There is
insufficient memory or disk space. Close extra windows and save your work.

WD2000: Long Path to a Data Source May Cause Error Message If you have a long path to a data source that is connected by Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) to a Word mail merge, you may receive an error message.
