SYMPTOMS

The Disk Management MMC snap-in may not show the disk when a large number of partitions are created on a disk. However, you may still be able to use and manage the disk by using third-party utilities such as Crlogdr.exe.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
