Symptoms

When you try to open a partial replica file, you may receive the following error message:
You cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table 'MSysAccessStorage'
This message may be displayed several times, and then Access quits.

Cause

This problem may occur when you use the Partial Replication Wizard to create a partial replica of a database file (.mdb) or of a project file (.adp) that is created in the Microsoft Access 2002 format. This problem occurs because the MSysAccessStorage table is replicated, but the table is not added to the MSysFilters system table when you create the partial replica.

To resolve this issue, obtain the latest Microsoft Jet 4.0 service pack that contains an updated version of the Microsoft Jet 4.0 database engine.
