PUB2002: Error Message: Publisher Cannot Open Files from a Different Version

When you try to open a Microsoft Publisher publication, you may receive the following error message:

This behavior may occur if you try to open a Publisher 2002 file in Publisher 2000.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Open the file in Publisher 2002.
2. On the File menu, click Save As.
3. In the Save as type list, click Publisher 2000 Files (.pub).
4. Click Save, and then quit Publisher 2002.
5. Open the file in Publisher 2000.
