Article ID: 322114 - Last Review: February 12, 2007 - Revision: 1.4 INFO: NDIS Intermediate Drivers Binding to NDISWAN/Dial-up NetworkingThis article was previously published under Q322114 SUMMARY
The network driver interface specification (NDIS) intermediate drivers ported to Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Special Edition, and Windows Millennium Edition that are based on the Microsoft Windows 2000/Windows XP Driver Development kit (DDK) PASSTHRU sample will not bind to the dial-up adapter (NDISWAN) miniport.
Also, the NDIS intermediate drivers for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 that are based on the IMSamp.exe driver sample will not bind to the dial-up adapter miniport. You can port the PASSTHRU sample of the Windows XP DDK to Windows 98 or Windows ME, if binding to the dial-up adapter is not required.
