Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry SYMPTOMS On a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, if a user changes the
password for their Windows XP logon account, any remote registered servers in
SQL Enterprise Manager (SEM) may be removed after the user logs off of Windows
XP or restarts the server and then logs back in. After the user logs back in,
when they open SQL Enterprise Manager, the list of remote servers is empty.
CAUSE This problem occurs because of a bug in Windows
XP. RESOLUTIONTo resolve the problem, perform these tasks:
