Server (IIS) on your Microsoft Exchange server, the following Exchange services
may not start:
Could not start the Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine service on
Local Computer. Error 1083: The executable program that this service is

Event 7000 occurs when attempting to start Exchange services
you may experience the following behaviors when you
try to manually start the Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine service:
RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, reinstall Exchange, and then reapply
the most recent service pack. To do this, follow these steps: Step 1: Back Up the DataComplete an online backup of the Microsoft Information Store and System State data.For additional information about how to back up the Microsoft Information Store data, search Exchange Server Help for "Back Up Exchange Data." For additional information about how to back up the System State data, search the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Help for "Back up files to a file or a tape." Step 2: Reinstall Exchange Server
