SYMPTOMS

When you try to use Internet Explorer to connect to a secure Web site over Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), authentication to that site may not work, and your client computer may not be able to connect to the site.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer 6. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. STATUS
