This step-by-step article describes how to create a custom
title master and slide master, and then save the presentation as a new
template. With a customized title master, you can create presentations in which
the title page contains a different layout, including different graphics, than
all the other slides in your presentation.
Create a New Slide MasterCreate a new, blank presentation. On the View menu, click Master , and then click Slide Master . On the Format menu, click Background . Under Background fill , click the arrow,
and then click Fill Effects . Click the Picture tab, click Select Picture , locate the picture that you want to insert, click the picture,
and then click Insert . This inserts the picture that forms the background of
all your slides other than the title slide. Click OK , and then click Apply . Create a New Title MasterOn the Insert menu, click New Title Master . On the Format menu, click Background . Under Background fill , click the arrow,
and then click Fill Effects . Click the Picture tab, click Select Picture , locate the picture that you want to insert, click the picture,
and then click Insert . This inserts the background picture for your title
slide. Click OK , and then click Apply . On the File menu, click Save As . In the Save as type box, click Design Template (*.pot) , type the
