SYMPTOMS

Under Windows 2000, asynchronous notifications might be sent to the wrong node on the 1394 bus.

CAUSE

After an asynchronous operation, 1394bus.sys can incorrectly send the asynchronous notification to the wrong device object representing a 1394 node.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
