XADM: Users May Experience Delays When They Connect to an Exchange 2000 Server; Patch Requires Exchange 2000 SP3

SYMPTOMS

In a clustered environment, users may have problems when they try to connect to an Exchange 2000 server. If you view the data in the System Monitor log, the MSExchangeIS\RPC Requests counter continues to increase. If the MSExchangeIS\RPC Requests counter remains at more than 20 for more than one minute, you are experiencing the problem that this article describes.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the post-Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 (SP3) Messaging Database (MDB) patch. For additional information, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
