INTRODUCTION

Some Microsoft Windows Powered Pocket PC applications may list storage cards with custom user-assigned names or custom manufacturer-assigned names, such as "Storage Card" or "Storage Card 1 (if available)." These Windows Powered Pocket PC applications may not list the storage cards with their actual names. Microsoft Pocket Word and Microsoft Pocket Notes only offer two options when you want to save files. The two options are "Main memory" or "Storage card 1 (if available)." These are the two options that are offered regardless of how many auxiliary cards are available or what the actual name of the card is. This also means that only the first card that you insert is available to save the file to.

Microsoft Pocket Excel lets you save files or open files from more than one auxiliary card.

When the Save to: Storage Card option is selected, Pocket Word searches for the first external file storage device that is mounted at the root directory. When the first external file storage device is found, Pocket Word saves the file to that card.
