SYMPTOMS

If you insert an attachment programmatically when you reply to a message that is in plain text format, a signature is unexpectedly added to the reply.

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

This problem is corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3.

Hotfix Information

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
