Article ID: 327977 - Last Review: February 20, 2007 - Revision: 3.6 XADM: Message Tracking Does Not Work in a Clustered Environment
This article was previously published under Q327977 On This PageSYMPTOMS
In a clustered environment, if a user on the second Exchange virtual server sends a message, and you try to use message tracking to track that message, message tracking only tracks the message up to its delivery to the information store (a type 1028 event), instead of providing the full message tracking history. If messages are sent from the first active Exchange virtual server, message tracking works as it typically does. However, if messages are sent from other Exchange virtual servers, message tracking does not show the full history, regardless of the number of Exchange virtual servers that are configured on the cluster service. RESOLUTIONCumulative Patch InformationTo resolve this problem, obtain the March 2003 Exchange 2000 Server Post-Service Pack 3 (SP3) Rollup.
