A Handle Leak Occurs in Mstask.exe

SYMPTOMS

When a scheduled task is run under the same account as the current user, one additional handle is owned by Mstask.exe; this handle is never returned. This handle is a handle to the user's profile. Therefore, the profile might not be unloaded immediately if it is a roaming profile. When this task is run recursively, the handle leak may cause a resource shortage (in paged pool) over time.

STATUS
