When a lower-resolution display (such as television or older monitor) is attached to a system with the following configuration, the screen resolution in the Display Properties applet may be incorrect:
This behavior occurs because Windows 2000 does not support clone-view or dual-view capability if you use a multi-headed video card. The video card manufacturer may support the dual-view feature in the driver.
This behavior is by design. Windows 2000 does not support the dual-view or clone-view feature, but programmers can develop drivers that support this option.
This limitation applies to all video adapter manufacturers. Manufacturers can build support into their drivers for Windows 2000.
