When you click a Microsoft ActiveX control immediately after you click another ActiveX control on a worksheet, Excel may quit. CAUSEThis behavior may occur if the LostFocus event of an ActiveX ComboBox control starts another subprocedure that contains the Sheet.Activate command, and then you click another ActiveX control instead of a cell on the worksheet. The global version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

To work around this issue, do not click two ActiveX ComboBox controls consecutively. Before you click the second control, first click a cell on a worksheet. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
