SYMPTOMS

If you copy and paste tasks in the same project plan file and you use the Baseline 1 through Baseline 10 fields, when you save the project plan file to the database you may receive an Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) error message that looks similar to the following:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'MSP_TASK_BASELINES' with unique index 'I_MSP_TASK_BASELINES'

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

This problem is corrected in Project 2002 Service Pack 1.

Hotfix Information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Project 2002 Service Pack 1.
