CAUSEThe routing of mail in Exchange recipients is done with the legacyExchangeDN attribute, and the legacyExchangeDN attribute is changed when you recreate the mailbox. RESOLUTIONIn order to avoid that issue, export the legacyExchangeDN attribute before you delete the mailbox and add it as a Custom X500 Address. If you already deleted the mailbox, you should be able to view the legacyExchangeDN when you click the recipient in an old email item Select properties on the user name from an old email, all the field are blank besides the Display Name field that is populated the legacyExchangeDN of the mailbox.
