CAUSEThis issue is caused due to the changed Windows registry values. RESOLUTIONTo restore the toolbars in Internet Explorer and/or Windows Explorer, perform the following: Open Windows registry editor (User regedit.exe at run window) and navigate to the following screen: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar You will find the following 3 sub keys: Explorer, ShellBrowser, WebBrowser In each of these sub-keys there will be an entry for ITBarLayout. However, in Internet Explorer, the WebBrowser Sub-key directly affects the change. In Windows Explorer the Explorer sub-key affects the same. The ShellBrowser sub-key may affect IE as well. Incase, if you experience the same issue after removing the sub key in the above mentioned key, proceed with removing the sub key in ShellBorwser also. Right-click ITBarLayout and select Delete. The deleted value will automatically be recreated for you. MORE INFORMATIONNOTE: It is recommended to Export the key, before deleting. Right-click and select Export. This will allow you to backup the contents of the whole key, including subkeys. APPLIES TO
