SYMPTOMS

When the 400 dots-per-inch (dpi) Microsoft Mouse is attached to the PS/2 port of a Packard-Bell PackMate 2, PackMate 65, Excel 5, or Legend 5 computer, the mouse sometimes does not install correctly.

However, when the mouse is attached to the serial port, there are no installation problems.
