SYMPTOMS

When you run a macro that uses the Common Dialog DLL to open multiple Outlook e-mail message files (*.msg), you may receive the following error message:
File not found

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Outlook changes the Current Directory location to point to where the Outlook files are located when it loads the Outlook DLL files, and it never restores the original directory location. When you try to open the file, the Common Control DLL tries to verify whether the file exists by using the Current Directory location. Because the Current Directory location was altered, the Common Control DLL cannot verify the file.
