On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you shut down your computer, Windows Messenger may stop responding (hang). When this occurs, you receive a Terminate Program dialog box that states "Msmsgs.exe not responding" or "ActiveMovie not responding." This problem may occur approximately 1 time in 200 shutdown attempts. The Terminate Program dialog box appears because a program is not responding during the shutdown process.
