Under certain circumstances, you may want to create a temporary master project based on other projects that have a similar value for the Enterprise Outline Code. However, when you try to select multiple projects with which to create the temporary master project, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
You have selected more than one project. Select a single row and try again.
It has not been possible to select multiple projects in Microsoft Project because the Open from Project Server dialog box does not permit you to view multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Web Access (PWA) Project Center does support grouping but it does not permit the multiple selection of projects.
This functionality is now available in Microsoft Project 2002 after you install the hotfix described in the "Resolution" section of this article.

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Project Server 2002 Service Pack 1.
