Windows XP stops responding after a 1394 camera is unexpectedly removed

SYMPTOMS

If a 1394 camera is streaming data by using isochronous transfers, and if the 1394 camera is unexpectedly removed, Windows XP stops responding, and you receive an error message on a blue screen.

CAUSE

The problem occurs because 1394bus.sys incorrectly handles the surprise removal event and tries to access a NULL pointer.
