SYMPTOMS

When you copy and paste portions of a Word 2002 document, Word quits abruptly with the following error message:
WINWORD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.
This behavior also occurs if you use a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro to perform a similar function. Specifically, Word quits when the macro tries to read the Selection.Range.Information VBA property.
