You cannot find Office XP programs after you install Office XP for Teachers and Students

SYMPTOMS

After you try to install Office XP Standard for Teachers and Students or Office XP Professional for Teachers and Students, you cannot find any of the Office suite programs on the Start menu or in the Program Files folder.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you install Disc Two of Office XP for Teachers and Students, and not Disc One. Office XP Standard for Teachers and Students contains two CD-ROM discs: Disc One contains Office XP, and Disc Two contains a Step by Step Interactive program.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, insert the disc that is labeled "Office XP for Teachers and Students Disc One" in your CD-ROM drive, and then install Office XP.
