When you use the Microsoft OLE DB provider for Oracle, and the OLE DB provider tries to resolve an error that the underlying Oracle Call Interface (OCI) layer returns, your computer stops responding (hangs).
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
