Article ID: 813401 - Last Review: February 1, 2007 - Revision: 2.4 Windows Media Player Skips Live Station After It Plays a .wsx File in an .asx PlaylistSYMPTOMSIn Windows Media Player, when you play an .asx playlist, if
there is a .wsx file in the playlist that is followed by a live station feed,
the live station feed may be partially or fully skipped. CAUSEThis problem occurs if Windows Media Player caches the live
station, and then it detects an "End of File". If this occurs, the live station
may not play, depending on the duration of playlist. WORKAROUNDTo prevent this problem, do not set a live station feed to
play after a .wsx file. STATUS Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
