"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error" error message when you create a new e-mail message or forward a message in Outlook 2002

When you try to create a new e-mail message or forward a message, you may receive the following error message:

This issue may occur if all the following conditions exist:

1. You upgrade to Windows XP.
2. You install Windows XP to a new folder.
3. You reinstall Office XP.

To resolve this issue, obtain and install Outlook 2002 Public Update: October 4, 2001.
