You receive an error message when you try to create a new Web in FrontPage 2002

SYMPTOMS

When you try to create a new Web in C:\My Documents\My Webs\Web_Folder_Name, where Web_Folder_Name is the name of the Web that you are trying to create, you may receive the following error message:
The server extensions were unable to access the file "Service.lck". Please check the file permissions.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you have a damaged Service.lck file.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, do one of the following:
Create your new Web in a folder that is not in the My Webs folder.

-or-
Empty the My Webs folder before you create your new Web.
