Incorrect ToolTip Text Is Displayed

SYMPTOMS

When you move your mouse pointer over toolbar buttons to view the ToolTips for each button, you may see the text from the previous ToolTip in a new ToolTip box.

This problem may occur on computers with accelerated OpenGL video adapter drivers. If you move your pointer quickly between toolbar buttons, especially if you move quickly back to a previous button, the ToolTip text buffer does not clear out the text from the button you just viewed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
