On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen Exchange 2000 Server client computers browse an Exchange public folder store, the database file (.edb) may grow unexpectedly large on the server, and offline defragmentation does not decrease the size of the database file. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the overflow table entry numbers are not deleted from an Exchange 2000 Server .edb database file. RESOLUTIONCumulative Rollup InformationTo resolve this problem, obtain the September 2003 Exchange 2000 Server Post-Service Pack 3 (SP3) Rollup.
