The SQL Server CE Server Tools Web Service Extensions on
your computer may be removed if either of the following conditions is true:
- You upgrade from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 or
Windows 2000 Server to Windows Server 2003 on the computer running SQL Server CE 1.1 or SQL Server CE 2.0.
-or- - You install SQL Server CE Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a computer running Windows Server 2003.
To work around the problem, create a SQL Server CE virtual
directory. To do so, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to
Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server CE
version, and then click Configure Connectivity Support
in IIS.
- In the right pane of the SQL Server CE Connectivity
Management window, double-click Create a
Virtual Directory.
- Follow the instructions in the SQL Server CE Virtual
Directory Creation Wizard to create the SQL Server CE virtual
directory.
