INF: SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition Release A

In response to the Slammer worm, Microsoft has released a new revision of SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition that is not vulnerable to the Slammer worm.

For information about how to obtain the new SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

SQL Server 2000 Trial Software (http://www.microsoft.com/sql/downloads/trial-software.mspx)

Discard any current evaluation CDs that you currently have, and use this new version instead.

SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition is intended for short-term testing. Do not use it in production environments.

Note Beginning with SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a, service packs can be applied to the SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition.
