When you create a new folder in your My Notebook folder, that is located in your My Documents folder, either by creating it in Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 or through the Microsoft Windows Explorer, you may not be able to open the new folder in OneNote.
This problem may occur if you close the new folder in OneNote and there are no OneNote section (.one) files in that folder.
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1.

To work around this problem, do one of the following:
Method 1: Create a New Section
Method 2: Save a Section
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem was first corrected in OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1.
