SYMPTOMSWhen you install RealNetworks RealOne Player on your
computer, you may experience decreased computer performance. For example, it
may take a longer time than expected for Windows to load when you start your
computer. Additionally, when you open Task Manager (press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Task Manager) and then click the Processes tab, you may find that the Evntsvc.exe process uses up to 100 percent of CPU resources. CAUSEThis problem may occur if you install RealOne Player version
1 on the computer. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, update to the latest version of
RealOne Player. For more information about how to obtain and install the latest

WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, do one of the following:
MORE INFORMATIONEvntsvc.exe is a program scheduler that is installed with
RealOne Player version 1. It runs independently of the player and is used to
remind Auto-Update and Message Center to perform their tasks at pre-scheduled
intervals. The scheduler is also used to automatically start RealNetworks Media
Type Helper to make sure that the computer is configured to work correctly with
RealOne Player with Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) types, file
