How to connect the Original Xbox Advanced AV Pack

This article describes how to connect and how to use the Xbox Advanced AV Pack.

Connect to a TV

Use the Xbox Advanced AV Pack to connect the Xbox console to the S-video input of your TV. To do this:

1. Verify that you have turned off the Xbox console.
2. Connect the Xbox AV connector to the AV port on the Xbox console.
3. Connect the S-video cable connectors to the Xbox Advanced AV Pack and to the S-video and audio inputs on your TV.
4. Connect the left and the right audio connectors to the Xbox Advanced AV Pack and to the audio inputs on your TV.
5. Set the appropriate video input for your TV to display Xbox games. Common names for video input include Input Select, AUX, Line In, Line, In, Input, Source, Video 1, and EXT. For more information about video input, see your TV manual.

Connect to a Digital AV system

If your receiver has a digital audio input, you can connect to digital audio instead of to the standard left and right audio input.

To do this, connect the digital audio cable connectors to the digital audio output of the AV pack and to the digital audio input of your receiver.
