How to enable or disable the Auto Off feature of your Original Xbox console

Procedures

1. Start your Xbox console with no disc in the disc tray.
   
   Note If the Xbox Live screen appears after you start the console, and not the Xbox Dashboard, press the B button two times to view the Xbox Dashboard.
2. Using the directional pad, select Settings, and then press the A button.
3. Select Auto Off, and then press the A button.
4. You receive the following message:
   The Auto Off feature shuts down the console after six hours of inactivity. Enable?
   Select No to disable the Auto Off feature or select Yes to enable the Auto Off feature, and then press the A button.
