On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen two or more disks fail in a hardware RAID set on a clustered server, the physical disk resource may still appear online. When you open My Computer to view the physical drive, you can view the root of the drive by using cached information. When you try to view subfolders, write to files, or open any files on the disk, you receive the following error message: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error 00000090.00000778::2003/02/05-13:58:48.359 WARN Physical Disk <Disk S: T:>: Offline, Locking volume failed, error 5. 00000134.000004c8::2003/02/05-14:11:55.509 ERR Physical Disk <Disk S: T:>: [DiskArb] Failed to read (sector 12), error 1117.
