FIX: A complex query is not successful on a server that has more than 2 GB of memory

SYMPTOMS

When you try to run a complex query on a server that has more than 2 GB of memory, the query may not be successful. You receive the following error message:

Server: Msg 8623, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Internal Query Processor Error: The query processor could not produce a query plan.
Contact your primary support provider for more information.

Note You can successfully run the same query on a server that has less than 2 GB of memory.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
